The Last Letter

Aarav and Meera had been best friends since childhood. Their bond was unbreakable, filled with laughter, secrets, and endless conversations. They spent every evening at their favorite spot—a small hilltop overlooking their town—watching the sunset and dreaming about the future.

As they grew older, Aarav realized he had fallen in love with Meera. But he never confessed, fearing it might ruin their friendship. Meera, unaware of his feelings, often talked about her dreams of traveling the world, finding love, and living a grand life. Aarav, always supportive, smiled through his silent pain.

One day, Meera excitedly announced that she had received a scholarship to study abroad. She was leaving in a week. Aarav felt his heart shatter, but he masked his emotions and celebrated with her. The night before her departure, they met at their hilltop one last time. Meera hugged him tightly and whispered, “I’ll miss you the most.” Aarav wanted to say everything he had buried in his heart, but he simply smiled and wished her luck.

Months passed, and Meera got busy with her new life. The calls and messages became less frequent until they stopped altogether. Aarav, still waiting, never moved on.

Years later, Meera returned to town for a short visit. She decided to meet Aarav and relive old memories. But when she reached his house, she was met with silence. Aarav’s mother handed her a letter—his last letter.

Tears streamed down Meera’s face as she read:

“Meera, I always wanted to tell you how much you meant to me, but I was too afraid to lose you. I hoped one day you’d realize, but I guess some love stories remain unspoken. I wish you all the happiness in the world. If you ever sit on our hilltop again, know that my heart still belongs there, watching the sunset with you.”

Meera clutched the letter to her heart, realizing she had lost something precious—a love that had always been hers, but she never saw it in time.

Moral: Never leave words of love unspoken. Sometimes, in the fear of losing someone, we end up losing them anyway.

  1. A true love is unspoken love
when its revealed it starts loosing its freshness

    1. True love is indeed felt in silence, where emotions speak louder than words. But when revealed, it doesn’t necessarily lose its freshness—it evolves. If love is genuine, expression deepens the bond rather than fading its essence.

  2. in your story
I see that the boy did a mistake
    it wasn’t girl’s mistake because
if he loved her then he should reveal in starting not when everything got faded
he also can keep his love unspoken but he spoiled his unspoken love by revealing in ending.
    conclusion……
if you want to keep your love unspoken then keep it hidden forever.
if you want to express your love then don’t wait just do it because if you will late you lose

    1. Aarav and Meera had been best friends for years. Aarav loved her deeply but never confessed, fearing it might ruin their friendship. He thought, If she’s meant to be mine, she’ll understand without words.

Time passed, and Meera fell in love with someone else. On the day of her wedding, Aarav finally gathered the courage to say, “Meera, I have always loved you.” She looked at him with teary eyes and said, “Why now, Aarav? Where were these words when they could have changed everything?”

Aarav watched her walk away, realizing his mistake. Love is either meant to be spoken or buried forever hesitation only leads to regret.
